Japanese Business delegation visits Sri City

Sri City, October 9, 2017: – A 21-member business delegation from some of the Japanese high profile companies and organisations visited Sri City today. The delegation was led by Mr. Haruhito Imizu, President, Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, a leading publishing conglomerate in Japan, and Mr. Yasukuni Enoki, former Ambassador of Japan to India. Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City, extended a warm welcome to the guests.

Highlighting AP Government’s support and encouragement being given to Japanese investors, and briefing on the specific advantages and unique features of Sri City, Mr. Ravindra said, ”As of now 15% of our customers are from Japan and, Sri City being the second largest ‘investment destination’ for Japanese companies, we are confident to attract some more small, medium and large scale companies from Japan.”

“Nikkan Kogyo’s resources, networks and expertise will surely familiarise Sri City and its unique features to the prospective investors from Japan,” he added.

Stating that the entire delegation was totally enthralled with the world- class infrastructure and business friendly atmosphere at Sri City, Mr. Haruhito Imizu recalled his last visit to Sri City, a couple of years back. He said,”I am very happy to see Sri City developed multifold, and it will be my pleasure to introduce and recommend Sri City to more and more prospective Japanese companies.”

The delegation comprised of top executives of prominent business houses in different sectors, such as, Tokiwa Kasei Co, THK Co, SFC, Takahashi Packaging Co, Laplace, Fasotec Holdings, Nvidia, MK Seiko Co, Nihon Shinkan Co., among others.

The intent of their visit was to acquaint themselves with Sri City’s world-class infrastructure, assess its business potential and explore investment opportunities. During the briefing session, they all evinced keen interest and quizzed on different aspects of Sri City. They went round the industrial park and visited the production unit of Isuzu and Foxconn. CEOs of some of the Sri City based Japanese industries had an interactive meeting with the delegation and gave a positive feedback on business friendly attitude of Government of AP and Sri City.
