Chairperson, APHERMC Mr. Justice Eswaraiah visits Sri City

Sri City, September 8, 2022: Retired AP High Court Judge Hon’ble Justice Mr. V. Eswaraiah, Chairperson, Andhra Pradesh Higher Education Regulatory & Monitoring Commission (APHERMC), Govt. of A.P. paid a visit to Sri City. Mr. Satish Kamat, President (Operation) extended warm welcome and gave a presentation on the infrastructure, unique features, brisk pace of development of Business City and  enormous job opportunities created.

Exhilarated at the meticulous implementation of Sri City Project, Mr. Justice Eswaraiah  appreciated the efforts of the Management headed by Mr. Srini Raju and Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy for brining into reality the vision of Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy. He mentioned,”Sri City has emerged as a role model in all respects, including, world class infrastructure, land acquisition, productivity, rehabilitation of locals, employment, sustainable eco-system, etc.,”

Mr. Justice Eswaraiah went around the industrial hub and observed brisk activity. He visited the production units of Bharat FIH (FoxconnGroup) and Alstom. He visited Krea University and IIIT.

On his arrival at Krea University, he was accorded a warm welcome by Prof. Nirmala Rao, Vice Chancellor and Mr. Kapil Viswanathan, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Committee of University. Explaining about the curriculum the Vice Chancellor said that a unique ‘interwoven learning’ approach that weaves arts and sciences, exposes students to various subjects and enables them to discover interests in subjects not explored earlier. He interacted with key faculty members and students. Sharing some of his experiences as the judge, he clarified the queries posed by students. Underscoring the importance of values and their role in human life, he said,”Values help in making decisions when we have a dilemma. We simply need to ask ourselves, ‘What is important for us in the given situation?”

At IIIT campus, Prof. G. Kannabiran, Director welcomed Mr. Justice Eswaraiah and briefed him on the academics and achievements of the Institute. He interacted with the faculty and students, and answered the questions posed by them.
