Ambassadors of India abroad impressed with Sri City’s investment potential

Sri City, June 29, 2018:- So as to give a presentation  to the delegation of some of the Indian High Commissioners/Ambassadors posted in Spain, Austria, Vietnam & Kuwait on the ample business opportunities and economic strengths of state, the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) organised a meeting on Thursday at the AP CM camp office, Vijayawada. On the invitation of APEDB, Mr. R. Shivashankar, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Sri City also took part in the meeting.

Mr. J. Krishna Kishore CA, IRS, Chief Executive Officer, APEDB and Secretary to Government, extended a warm welcome and briefed them on the specific advantages of doing business in AP.

Briefing them on the infrastructure, unique features and the status of Sri City, Shivashankar said,”Connected well with four sea ports and two international airports, Sri City offers an ideal location for companies to set up not only their manufacturing bases but also to have large distribution-cum-warehouse facilities. With several multinational companies such as Mondelez, Alstom, Danieli, Kobelco, Isuzu Colgate-Palmolive, Kellogg’s from over 27 countries setting up their bases, there is a huge potential for some more companies to set up operations.” Briefing  on the advantages of setting up units in Sri City he outlined the ease of starting operations and summarised the incentives they can avail.

Impressed with the business potential in the state, the  Ambassadors said that they will highlight AP’s potential their respective countries of accreditation and make investments flow into the state by bringing in a synergy for global connectivity. They all expressed satisfaction at the mix of world class industrial infrastructure being provided in Sri City to the industries, and told that they consider it as one of the best places to do business.  They intend to set up roadshows to highlight AP advantages in the respective countries.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), GoI, as a part of its efforts to promote India states abroad, organised the visit of Indian High Commissioners / Ambassadors from Austria, Spain, Vietnam and Kuwait to the state of Andhra Pradesh. The aim of the proposed visit is to give the delegation exposure to the economic strengths of Andhra Pradesh so as to enable them to promote the specific interests of the State in their respective countries of accreditation.
