MVI Camp Office inaugurated in Sri City

Sri City, May 2, 2018:- To put an end to the woes of Sri City community, Andhra Pradesh Transport department opened the camp office of Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI), located at Sri City Trade Centre, on the Central Express way. In a formal function held on Wednesday, Mr. Ch. Pratap, Deputy Transport Commissioner (DTC), Chittoor inaugurated the office  in the presence of Mr. G.Vivekananda Reddy, Regional Transport Officer, Tirupati, Mrs. Vimala Kumari, Dy. Superintendent of Police, Sri City, Mr. C. Ramesh Kumar, Vice President, Mr. Altaf, General Manager, Security & Vigilance, Sri City and a host of other officials.

Speaking on the occasion, the DTC said that, for the time being, the MVI will camp in Sri City once a week, and will issue Learning License (LLR) and fitness certificates to vehicles. He said that visit frequency will increase and some more services will be offered. “We will finalise the ‘day’ on which the office will function and the timings, and inform to the public, within a day or two. Those who want to obtain LLR, may go directly to the office with Aadhaar, ATM card to pay prescribed fee  and their cell phone,” he said.

He had an interactive meeting with the officials of various units and clarified their doubts.

Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, who is out of the country, in a message thanked the Transport authorities for opening a camp office, and said,”Sri City community will find it very convenient as the MVI office is available at their doorstep, and it will be an added value for our social infrastructure.”
