Sri City, April 27, 2022: Dr. Andrew Fleming, British Deputy High Commissioner (BDHC), Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, who was on a visit to Sri City inaugurated the ‘Sri City-UK Companies Association’ (SUCA), in the presence of Mr. Sujith Thomas, Head of Engineering Manufacturing, Dept. for International Trade, British Deputy High Commission, Chennai and Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director, Sri City, on Wednesday.
The BDHC had an interactive meeting with the CEOs of the UK Companies in Sri City. Addressing the gathering he said,” I met some of you during last December in Chennai, and I am happy to meet you all today. I congratulate you all for doing wonderful work in Sri City. What is fantastic is that we are seeing how British innovation is being translated into ‘Make in India’ products with all the benefits that hold for both parties. I feel confident that Sri City’s offer will be attractive to others, and the 2000+ jobs created by UK cos., here will further increase.” He asked the CEOs to take the guidance of Mr. Sujith Thomas for speeding up the works with government.
Dr. Andrew Fleming inaugurated the ‘Sri City-UK Companies Association’. In Sri City, as of now, there are eight companies from UK, viz., Bergen Pipes, CII/IMI, RN Photo Coatings, Healthium Medtech, MSR Garments, Rotolok Valves, MMD and Power Gas, providing jobs for over 2000 people.
