Sri City, November 17, 2022 :- Mrs. E. Supraja, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Tirupati District presided over the review meeting with the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) held in Sri City on Thursday.
Addressing the delegates, the ASP emphasised on some of the steps that need to be taken for successful drug trafficking control and strategies to curb drug usage while addressing the delegates. She directed SEB officers to locate all conduits of illegal drug smuggling throughout the district and to bolster the department’s information system. She advised them to create extensive awareness about the severity of legal punishment against illegal drug traffickers and consumers in order to induce voluntary reformation in them. She urged the SEB and local police to work together to crack down on smugglers and paddlers by strengthening vigilance and communication systems.
Thanking the SP, Tirupati for giving the opportunity of hosting the conclave, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City said,”Tirupati district, being ‘green’ in all aspects, has been thriving with industrial activity and higher academic institutions. Initiatives of this kind will certainly help in maintaining Sri City region ‘safe and healthy’. To achieve this, it is imperative that every individual in Sri City community should strengthen the efforts of police and SEB.”
