Sri City, February 18, 2020: For all ‘Sri Citizens’ it was a blissful Monday evening (February 17) as His Holiness the Sankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham Sri Sri Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi gave graceful darshan and bestowed blessings. On his arrival at Visitors Centre, Sri Sankaracharya was accorded a traditional welcome by Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City amidst Vedic chanting. The Sankaracharya visited Business Centre where he was given a briefing on the origin, development and status of Sri City, job opportunities and the corporate social responsibility activities.
Addressing the devotees at the community hall, the Sankaracharya remarked,”Sri City is very unique reflecting a balanced blend of spirituality and modernity aiming at the prosperity of the region. We are very happy to note that it created livelihood for over 50,000 people, and will for jobs for many more in future.”
Stating that sincere attempts and hard work always give good result, the Sankaracharya commented,”As virtuous actions always beget good results, here in Sri City, such actions backed by technology, hard work, and commitment, resulted in prosperity and development, creating ample job opportunities to the people. We pray the almighty to bless these efforts and bestow more and more prosperity in the entire region.”
Mentioning that a country which is righteous, united and peace loving will always prosper, the Swamiji told,”Our culture teaches us to work hard, be kind to others and live a legitimate life. Unity in diversity is the unique strength of our country. Different languages and cultures have been coexisting with harmony here since long time. We are known for tolerance. In a way, our joint family system was responsible for developing the traits, such as, compassion, tolerance, adjustment, helping others, etc., in us. Let’s work together to regain the past glory of our country.
Overwhelmed with the presence of His Holiness the Sankaracharya, Mr. Ravindra Sanaareddy said,”Sri Citizens are uniquely blessed today with the kind grace of Sri Sankaracharya at Sri City. It is our belief that Sankaracharya is the reincarnation of Lord Shiva. Monday being the day for worshipping Lord Shiva, his visit is all the more special to us. His kind visit, graceful darshan and divine blessings give us spiritual strength, joy and peace, and motivate us to achieve the goal with renewed commitment. We convey our respects and indebtedness to Sri Sankaracharya for visiting the place.”
Earlier, the Sankaracharya visited the Sankara Netralaya and the Kanchi Kamakoti Child Trust hospital, and inquired about the services that are being rendered to the Sri City community and also to the public in the vicinity, particularly the rural population who are otherwise deprived of quality medical services. Swamiji inaugurated the arcade building at residential zone.
The Shankaracharya and his entourage stayed at Sri City Monday night and left for Chennai this morning. Mr. Ravi Sannareddy and a few other devotees took swamiji’s blessing before his departure.
