Flamingo festival gets off to a flying start

Sri City, January 3, 2020: The three-day annual Flamingo Festival in Sullurpet commenced on Friday amid much fanfare. Electricity & Environment Minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy formally inaugurated the festival and release a posters on the flora and fauna of Pulicat lake, in the presence of Dr. P. Anil Kumar Yadav, Irrigation Minister, Mekapati Goutam Reddy, Industries Minister, Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, Tourism Minister, Balli Durgaprasad, MP, Tirupati, and K. Sanjeevaiah, MLA, Sullurupeta, M V Seshagiri Babu, District Collector, Nellore and a host of other dignitaries.

The ministers and other dignitaries went round the stalls government and private businesses, organised at the Junior college grounds. On their arrival at the pavilion of Sri City Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director welcomed them. The ministers declared the pavilion inaugurated and went through the display of products ‘made at Sri City’. They all curiously inquired about the growth and status of the mega industrial park.

As Sri City’s ‘Make in India’ stall has become a special attraction. Public in large number, particularly the students and youth visited the stall and noted the unique features of Sri City and the major manufacturing units that were set up there. Konetti Adhimulam, MLA, Satyavedu, several local leaders and officials also visited the stall.

Commenting on the occasion Ravindra Sannareddy thanked the Ministers for visiting the stall and said, Flamingo Festival, which being conducted for the past 12 years gives the people an opportunity to come together and enjoy it. Four ministers gracing the occasion itself speaks of its importance.
