AP Civil Supplies Minister Kodali Nani visits

Sri City, April 2, 2021: Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao (Kodali Nani), Minister for Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Andhra Pradesh, accompanied by Gadikota Srikanth Reddy, Government Chief Whip and Vallabhaneni Vamsi, MLA, Gannavaram visited Sri City on Friday. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and briefed them about the salient features of Sri City, its status, employment potential, societal development activities, etc.,

Welcoming the guests Ravindra Sannareddy said,”We are very happy to receive the honourable minister, Government Chief Whip and the MLA of Gannavaram. Visits of this kind reflect their keenness and seriousness in monitoring the development works in the region, and speak of state government’s commitment for the sustainable development of the region, which had remained backward for decades. Their observations and suggestions will certainly give more impetus to the development of Sri City.”

Appreciating the fast development of the business city the minister commented that Sri City, which was launched by Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy in 2008, serves as a strong testimony to the long vision of that great leader. Exhilarated at the meticulous implementation of Sri City Project, he said, “It is my very first visit to this place and I am highly impressed by the excellent efforts put by Sri City leadership in creating ample job opportunities for the locals, particularly for the women.”

The minister praised the hard work of Sri City team in transforming the backward area into a model industrial park, and assured all support to the project. “Under the able leadership of Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy, with its dynamic and investor friendly industrial policy, Andhra Pradesh will continue to retain ‘number one’ position in ‘ease of doing business’, and attract investments from different countries,” he added.

The Minister and other guests went round the industrial city and witnessed the existing world class infrastructure. They visited production units of Rockworth and Rising Star Mobiles (Foxconn). The minister interacted with the women workforce at Rising Star Mobiles, and felt happy note that they represent all 13 districts of the state. He inquired about their jobs and well-being.
