High commissioner of Papua New Guinea visits Sri City

Sri City, January 6, 2021 :- Mr. Paulias Korni, High commissioner of Papua New Guinea in New Delhi visited Sri City on Thursday. Mr. Shivsankar, Senior Vice President (Marketing), Sri City received the guests and extended a warm welcome and explained them about the world class infrastructure and locational advantages of multi sector industrial park. The High commissioner was accompanied by a few investors from Papua New Guinea.

Briefing them on the unique features and the brisk pace of development of the industrial park, Mr. Satish Kamat, President, President (Operations), Sri City highlighted the host of incentives being offered by the State and as well as the Central Governments.

Impressed with the infrastructure and industry-friendly ambiance of Sri City, the High commissioner said that it is a ‘world class’ facility. Commenting on the greenery in Sri City, he said,”It is really enthralling to visit Sri City. Hailing from the most forested country in the world, I really appreciate your conscious efforts in turning the entire area into a ‘green city’.”

Commenting on the visit, Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City, said ,”We feel honoured at the impression of Mr. Paulias Korni on our campus greening as a tool for institutional sustainability efforts. Interaction of this kind will further enhance business ties between the two countries. We are confident that his observations, which are very encouraging, would pave way for business investments from Papua New Guinea.”

The intent of their visit was to witness and gain first-hand knowledge about the industrial park, assess its business potential and explore investment opportunities, particularly in the coffee industry. During the interaction, they all evinced keen interest and inquired on different aspects of Sri City.
