Sri City, September 15, 2018: – To create an awareness about dental related problems and provide feasible free treatment, a dental screening camp was held on Saturday at Mandal Prajaparishat Primary School, Irugulam. Sri City Foundation in association with Care International Dental Centre organised the camp.
Over 115 students were screened and given advice on how to maintain hygiene for the teeth. Dr. Srinivas, assisted by para medical staff carried out a comprehensive dental checkup on students.
The students were explained about the eating patterns and food choices which cause tooth decay. The Doctor highlighted about the possible formation of harmful acid which develops when bacteria (plaque) get in contact with sugar in the mouth and ultimately results in tooth decay.
Similar camps were already organised at some of the schools that are located in the vicinity Sri City. Care International Dental Centre is located at the 2nd floor of Sri City Medical Centre.
