Sri City, March 7, 2019:- A team of 90 Industrial Promotion Officers (IPOs) of AP Industries department visited Sri City as part of their study tour on Wednesday. The state Industries Department in association with Sri City, organised a one-day exposure programme.
Speaking to the IPOs, Mr. Siddharth Jain, IAS., Commissioner of Industries, drew their attention to the ‘Ease of doing business in AP’, and explained the factors that contributed to the state’s score to emerge as the topper in ease of doing business index, ahead of the industrialised states. He called upon them to rededicate for retaining AP’s ‘number one’ position.
Addressing the IPOs Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy said,” We feel proud as Sri was chosen as the subject of study by the AP government for the IPOs in the state, and convey our sincere thanks to the Commissioner of Industries.”
Highlighting the unique features of Sri City, he said,”We aimed at building a holistic eco-system for providing a sustainable environment to the best brands for setting up their ventures, strengthen the concept of providing urban amenities at a rural setting, and boost the economy of the region around us.”
On their arrival the IPOs were given a detailed briefing on the world-class infrastructure and brisk pace of development, existing investor-friendly ecosystem, and specific advantages of setting business in Sri City in including the financial incentives offered by state government. They all evinced keen interest and quizzed on different aspects of Sri City. The team went round the mega industrial township and witnessed the works in progress at the production units of Isuzu, Mondelez, Kellogg’s, Kbelco, Daniele and Rockworth.
