Sri City, April 17, 2018:- His Excellency the Ambassador-at-large for the Government of Singapore, Mr. Gopinath Pillai visited Sri City on Monday evening. Mr. Gopinath Pillai, who is the Chairman of Coldman Logistics Ltd., was accompanied by the Board of Directors of the company. Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City extended a warm welcome, and briefed them on the infrastructure, unique features and the brisk pace of development in Sri City.
During the briefing session, Mr. Pillai and others evinced keen interest and inquired on different aspects of Sri City. Later, they went round the industrial park and visited the warehousing & logistics unit of Coldman, India’s leading Cold Chain Service Provider.
Impressed with the mega industrial park, that hosts over 165 prominent companies across the world, Mr. Pillai commended the Sri City management for setting up such a world class Integrated Business City.
Commenting on the visit, Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy said,”It is an honour to have Mr. Gopinath Pillai, an outstanding person of varied career, as an entrepreneur and senior diplomat, with us. His keenness to know more about Sri City is very encouraging. We are confident, his visit will facilitate business investments from Singapore.“
Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy mentioned that way back in 2008, the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS), Singapore for which Mr. Gopinath Pillai is the chairman of Management Board, studied the ‘consent based land acquisition’ model of Sri City and appreciated it.
Mr. Gopinath Pillai, as the special envoy of the Singapore Government, oversees the development of Amaravati, the new capital city of AP. In 2012, Government of India honoured him with the award of Padma Shri.
