International Yoga day observed at Sri City

Sri City, June 21, 2017:- Sri City community observed the ‘International Yoga Day’ on Wednesday. About 100 employees and executives of Sri City and its units took part in the programme that commenced at 6 am. Mr. Srinivas, yoga trainer and disciple of Yoga Master Sri Rishi Prabhaakar, Nellore administered the event and performed surya namaskaraas and various asanaas. Highlighting the benefits of each of the exercise he performed, he said that they all aim to integrate the body and the mind. Mr. Suresh Viswanathan of MSR Garments and Mr. A. Sanyasi Rao also demonstrated a few more asanaas.

Annotating on the occasion, Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City said, “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It keeps mind and body healthy and stress free. I appeal to the Sri City community to make yoga an everyday part of life for better health and improved relationships, more clarity of thought and creativity.”

AT IIIT

The Indian Institute of Information Technology in Sri City also celebrated the Yoga day in its campus. Students, faculty & staff participated in the event. Addressing the gathering Prof. P. Viswanath exhorted the participants to practice Yoga as a part of their life to have peaceful mind and sound health. Mr. K. Rama Raju, advisor, IIIT Campus and Mr. Sanjay Kumar Sahu, Physical instructor have guided the participants in the performance of yogasanas.

AT CHINMAYA VIDYALAYA

The Local Chinmaya Vidyalaya also organised Yoga Day, in which 150 students took part. The Physical Education Teacher administered the event. Mrs. Hemalata, Principal and the staff members also participated in the yoga.
