Director General of Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in India pays visit to Sri City

Sri City, February 18, 2021 :- Mr. Ben Wang, Director General, Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre (TECC) in Chennai along with a team of officials visited Sri City on Thursday. Mr. Ramesh Subramaniam, President, Sri City Foundation extended a warm welcome and gave them a presentation on the world class infrastructure & unique features of the integrated business city, and highlighted the spree of incentives offered by the Central and state governments to the prospective investors coming forth to invest.

Impressed with the world class infrastructure and investor friendly ambiance of Sri City, Mr. Ben Wang said, “We rate Sri City ‘number one’ among the several industrial parks visited by us in India.” He expressed confidence that some of the Taiwanese companies would be keen to invest in Sri City.

Annotating on the visit, Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City said,”We consider the visit of Director General of TECC very special, and his views and suggestions will certainly be useful for us. With the presence of Taiwanese electronics major Foxconn a strong ecosystem for electronic manufacturing sector gets developed in Sri City. We are confident, their visit will pave way for investments from the Taiwanese entrepreneurs.”

Following the interactive briefing session, they all went round the campus and evinced keen interest in knowing more about the industrial park and the existing units that have come from different parts of the world. They visited the production unit of Foxconn.

Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in India (TECC) is the Republic of China (Taiwan) government representative office in India. It is responsible for promoting bilateral relations in the areas of the economy, trade, investment, the media, tourism, culture, education and science and technology between Taiwan and India.
