Sri City, March 2, 2021: Krishna G.V. Giri, Executive Vice Chairman, AP Economic Development Board, and Advisor, Industrial Promotion, Government of Andhra Pradesh paid a visit to Sri City. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City extended a warm welcome and briefed him on the unique features and industrial progress of Sri City, which comprises a Special Economic Zone (SEZ), a Domestic Tariff Zone (DTZ), Free Trade Ware housing Zone (FTWZ) and an Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (EMC), all in its precincts.
Thanking Ravi Sannareddy for hosting the visit, Krishna said that Sri City, with its wonderful infrastructure has emerged as the busiest industrial park in the state. Congratulating Ravi Sannareddy for Sri City region being considered by Invest India as one among the ‘ten great places for manufacturing’ in the country, he added,”I am confident that soon it would emerge as the largest industrial hub in the country.”
Appreciating the efforts of Sri City and its units for creating ample job opportunities, Krishna expressed happiness as Sri City, in line with AP CM’s vision, could create livelihood for a large percentage of local people, particularly the women in the region known for its backwardness.
Annotating on the visit Ravindra Sannareddy said that Krishna‘s visit is very important for us and his observations and suggestion are very valuable.
The intent of the visit was to have first hand knowledge about the business city and explore the available business opportunities. Krishna evinced keen interest and inquired on different aspects of Sri City. Following the briefing session, he went round the industrial park and witnessed the brisk activity at the production units of Foxconn and Alstom. Vijay Subramanyam, MD, Alstom and Josh Foulger, MD Foxconn received and took him round the plants.
Krishna, a graduate of Fletcher school of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts university, has over two and half decades of experience in consulting, as Vice Chairman India and Managing Partner, Asia Pacific Management consulting and Growth and strategy practice H & PS, and leading billion dollar transformation engagements across multiple continents. Now he is working with Govt of AP on industries promotion and economic development for the state.
