A 33kV power network forms the backbone of the power-distribution system within Sri City. Power is also supplied at 11kV and 132kV on a need basis. A 220kV sub-station is being setup and will become operational soon.

A number of power plants (1x4000MW, 1x2000MW and 2x500MW) are coming up at Krishnapatnam, 100 km north-east of Sri City. The first power plant will be operational by mid 2011.
