Sri City, November 29, 2019:- Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ananthapur Range, Mr. Kanthi Rana Tata, IPS, visited Sri City on Friday. Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City extended a warm welcome and gave a lucid presentation on the infrastructure, unique features and the status of the mega industrial park. He reminisced that it was during Mr. Kanthi Rana Tata‘s tenure as the Superintendent of Police, Chittoor that the Police Out-Post at Sri City was inaugurated.
During the discussion the DIG reviewed the security system in vogue. Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy brought some of the specific issues pertaining to security and law & order to the notice of the DIG.
The DIG went round the mega industrial park and visited the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Sri City (IIIT-S). Dr. G. Kannabiran, Director of the Institute briefed him on curriculum that supports practice-based learning through industry-based projects, co-curricular development and opportunities for creating research bent of mind.
Later, he visited the police station at Sri City and held a brief meeting with the police officials and took stock of the law and order. He instructed them to focus on security and safety of expats, protection of women employees, and curbing antisocial activities in the region.
Circle Inspectors of Sri City and Satyavedu Mr. Jagadish Nayak and Mr. Srinivasulu, respectively were present during the visit.
